A UK based company has designed a linear actuator, which has a very high dynamic load carrying capacity combined with efficient rolling action. The actuators that are tested in difficult industrial environments can be used in any application where only hydraulic and pneumatic actuators are used and are a powerful linear motion solution that can handle heavy duty applications.

Pera Technology based in Melton Mowbray that provides R&D expertise and technical expertise to firms across a range of disciplines to enable the development of new commercially viable products is discussed. In the last European Framework Programme more SME's were helped to acquire grants for innovation than any other organization in Europe by Pera.

Companies no longer work in isolation and different manufacturers are looking at ways and means to make their supply chain management unique and cost effective and to this effect the BS8888: 2000TPD standards have been launched which is aimed at engineers, designers and all the key departments in the manufacturing field.
