Article Abstract:
Marketing, unlike engineering, is difficult to quantify and cannot be tested repeatedly to determine its accuracy. It is, however, both a discipline and an art, and the fact that it works is reflected in the purchasing decisions people and organizations make. Marketing communications comprise all activities designed to implement a marketing plan to achieve marketing goals. Sound marketing communications plans should consider factors such as advertising, public relations, publicity, press releases and the Internet. Clearly identified target markets are critical to the success of marketing communications.

Article Abstract:
The Senate has passed an education bil that would extend the IRC Sec 127 tax exclusion for employer-funded educational assistance for undergraduate courses and restore the eligibility for graduate courses that was terminated in 1996. The bill, however, is a controversial one, and it may force Sec 127 supporters to seek another legislative vehicle for reinstating coverage for graduate studies. The House passed its version of the education bill in Oct 1997, but this version does not include any provision on Sec 127.

Article Abstract:
An evaluation of standardized tests to determine possible threat from combustible dust layers or dust suspensions established several safety precautions for materials handling in plant operations for the chemical process industries. For dust layers, tests include ignition rating, combustion rating and constant temperature stability testing. On the other hand, the modified Hartmann apparatus, Siwek 20-L apparatus and minimum energy tests are used for dust suspensions.
