8-port asynchronous serial card supports RS-485

Article Abstract:

ACCES I/O Products has introduced the PCI-COM 485/8 board, an 8-port asynchronous serial card that supports RS-485. The card, which functions in half-duplex communications mode, is touted to be able to operate in harsh conditions of 0 to +60 degrees Celsius and 5-95% relative humidity (noncondensing). In addition, the card comes with automatic control, which allows the driver/disables the receiver when data are ready for transmission.
