Matsushita Electronics Corp and Matsushita Electric Industrial Company Ltd have launched GRiTT-NV (MN67760), a graphics processor for high-speed navigation systems. The product has a graphic-drawing capacity of 150 megapixels per second and can perform viewpoint switchover and smooth image movement for car navigation systems. GRiTT-NV is also equipped with three dedicated engines, namely digital signal processor, coordinate- conversion processor and graphics-drawing processor.

Sharp Corp's PC-PJ120H notebook computers have 12.1-inch XGA low- reflectivity thin-film transistor LCD that operates in the normally black mode. Users can create Web pages for i-mode use, and with the Anime-de- Foto software in the software bundle, they can transform images from a digital camera into animation. Also, users can instruct the PC-PJ120H to conduct Internet searches from a remote site through their i-mode telephones.

NEC Corp has unveiled the LaVie NX-Series LW45H/24DR and LW45H/23DR notebook computers. Both models operate under the 450MHz Intel Mobile Celeron processor and are equipped with recordable and rewritable compact disc drives capable of performing 4x writing. However, the LW45H/24DR has a 14.1-inch thin-film transistor LCD while the LW45H/23DR has a 13.3-inch display.
