Japanese A/V makers fine-tune strategies for U.S. flat TV market

Article Abstract:

Plasma display panel (PDP) TVs and LCD TVs are being manufactured in Mexico by Japanese manufacturers of audio-video (A/V) equipment in order to compete for sales in the U.S. market. With the help of the panels procured from Japan to produce products across the border from the United Sates, Japanese manufacturers figure that they can more easily introduce products throughout the United Sates.
