Aiwa widens sales routes, adopts long view for car aftermarket

Aiwa Co Ltd, Japan, has developed marketing plans for car audio equipment that primarily use the leading dealers in the US, Europe, Central America and South America. These plans coincide with the company's plans for general audio equipment. Management intends to step up business expansion efforts in the automobile aftermarket, with a special focus on the US. It hopes to double car audio equipment sales from 5 billion yen in FY 1997 to FY 10 billion yen in 1998.
