The retailer also supports its staff's friendly greeting and honest product advice, with delivery, installation and future service of the item bought at its stores. Abt Electronics merchandise includes mainstream brands and high-end names such as Sub-Zero and Wolf Range, in mock-up kitchens on the sales floor. A progressive expansion in terms of space and inventory for the business founded as Abt radio by Dave and Jewel Aby, also furnished the store with success for 62 years.

Article Abstract:

The DVD Forum has announced that its Steering Committee has approved the version 1.0 of the DVD-Audio disc specifications. Two music industry requests were incorporated in the revisions of the June-issued 0.9 specifications. These include the addition of a lossless transmission system for music signal processing as an option for content producers and the increase in the flexibility for content providers who may want to use Dolby Digital sound with video clips or both Dolby Digital and LPCM sound tracks.

Car stereo manufacturers and dealers will gather in Chicago, IL, in May 1999 to talk about the latest advances and train sales staff about the technical aspects of auto audio equipment for increased sales. The training seminars will focus on new technologies such as DVD Audio and Super Audio CD. Suppliers expected to exhibit their wares include Sony, which plans to unveil its first SACD player, and Marantz, which will release the RC-5000 programmable universal remote.
