Article Abstract:
The International Technology Roadmap for Semiconductors (ITRS) has helped equipment and materials suppliers overcome roadblocks during technology acceleration. In addition, ITRS serves as a guide in formulating company strategies and research and development goals. One limitation of the Roadmap, however, is its lack of economic considerations. To make the ITRS more helpful to semiconductor manufacturers and suppliers, it should be feasible from an economic perspective.
