Mitsubishi Electric Corp's 28W-RA1 digital TV features seven energy-saving functions. It has a flat, 28-inch screen that shows wide-screen images as well as standard features, such as a D-1 terminal and a DVD component terminal. The digital terminal output can be switched by pressing the Component button on the portable controller. The product recognizes many image sources automatically, eliminating the need to switch the input button manually for each source. The set costs $917.

The product uses the Advanced Audio Coding sound compression method, and to block illegal copying, it uses the Secure Portable Player Platform. Priced at $336, HDM- MP1 also features a 32MB multimedia card, and allows data recording and transfer from a personal computer.
