Many consumer electronics (CE) industry players consider 2007 a tough time , with the shift to panel TVs and the margin free fall as the biggest market trends. The year is also remembered for the flagging U.S. economy, but upturns such as the rise of mobile electronics are also reminiscent of the year . The 2007 market trends and 2008 forecasts in CE are discussed.
