Article Abstract:
Some observers have suggested the reason why British universities do not offer degrees in biography is because biography is not seen as scholarly. Yet many other subjects, such as films are seen as worthy of academic study. Biography is most often studied only as part of courses on history literature. Even some biographers suggest there is no need for anymore biographers. Students who studied biography could be taught how to use a wider range of sources for their research.
