Article Abstract:

A professor of German politics at Nottingham University, England, describes how he found out he was listed on secret files formally held by the East German secret police, known as the Stasi. The records accused him of having links with the British secret services. The professor explains how he met one of the people, a fellow British academic, who accused him of begin anti communist. The professor undertook research into the politics and history of the German Democratic Republic in the 1980s.
