Religion in school: a role for vouchers

Article Abstract:

Conflicts often arise between public school curricula and religious beliefs of parents and students on issues such as school prayer, sex education, textbook choices and values education. The voucher system, wherein parents can choose their children's schools, is proposed to avoid these problems.

School vouchers, pro and con

Article Abstract:

School vouchers can be used in deregulating the public school system. However, although the government's subsidization of nonpublic schools has been contended, expanding the private school sector will benefit teachers the most, even as smaller and more collegial schools are created.

Schools and simple justice: toward dignity of choice

Article Abstract:

Educational reform by the process of choice of school is presented. It is an ideal method of adressing the problem of the poor and availability of quality education. The advantages of choice are presented as well as steps to implement the changes in educational policy.
