Article Abstract:
Amateur computer users have access to almost 1500 free computerized bulletin board systems. These systems are small computers which run special software that allow communication with other computers or terminals. Equipment needed to access bulletin boards are modems, communications programs and the telephone number of a local bulletin board system. Newsletters and books are available with lists and descriptions of bulletin boards.

Any group which needs information about educational software can invest $49.95 to have access to eighty-two titles with subtopic headings. Information under each entry includes publisher, publisher's catalog number, grade level, scope, components, hardware configuration and product description.

Article Abstract:
Five television series will be aired on public television this fall. They can be used for college credit or as teaching resources. Funded by the Annenberg-CPB Project, these series are part of an attempt to provide higher education opportunities through telecommunications. Topics of the series are The Constitution, The Brain, Congress: We the People, The Write Course and The New Literacy.
