Article Abstract:
Australian universities are now offering degree and higher courses to Asians, using local colleges there or building new ones. Five thousand students are working for degrees in this way, and 65,000 people are expected to arrive in Australia to register for study there this year. This earns 1 billion Australian dollars annually, and is expected to increase to 5 billion. There have been problems with Chinese students not returning home after their visas expired, or being unable to take up offered places.
