Francis Fukuyama's End of History argues that the world is approaching the final stage of its political evolution. While America's astounding dynamism and productivity has resulted from the belief that individual men and women are responsible for their own destinies and have no birthright from the state to be affluent, the growing split between the U.S. and Europe has resulted from these rends.

The West divided: America versus Europe

Article Abstract:

Even though the Americans and the Europeans have varied interests, values, views and perceptions, both sides need one another. Understanding each other's way of doing things and combining resources to confront common issues would help in bridging the gaps between them.

Lessons of the war

Operation Iraqi Freedom was a rapid success due to the speed and tactical surprises that bought huge number of ground troops. It is held that there is a lesson to be learned from this new type of military action, even after the fall of Saddam regime.
