Article Abstract:
Higher Education, in Cuba, has been the arena for discussion and debate for many years. The curriculum has had to change many times, since the revolution in 1959, but its role of enabling debate to take place has remained. Article Abstract:
All college students should undertake a minimum level of work experience, irrespective of their course subject. Non-vocational courses should include a study module focusing on the potential for creativity, work and enterprise. Universities should acknowledge that academic excellence can be achieved while graduates can simultaneously be employable. Humanities courses could become more popular if work experience was included.
