Article Abstract:

College football teams are ranked according to a weekly poll taken by 70 sportswriters and sportscasters, using predictors, such as inertia and constraints, rank elevators and time effects. The researchers agree that the team ranking is based on available evidence, reassesssment of old information and revising the ranking accordingly.
