Article Abstract:
The economic issues that have been encountered by the Antitrust Division of the U. S. department of Justice (DOJ) during the past years are described. The DOJ has brought about a significant number of merger challenges and also devoted considerable effort in expanding its thinking, and honoring its skills in a number of areas, which includes the economies of intellectual property and health care, and appropriate antitrust remedies.
