The UK market for home interest and gardening magazines is expected to be worth 119.24 million pounds sterling in 1998, up an estimated 77% from 1993. Some 69% of copy sales are accounted for by home interest titles. The number of copies of home interest and gardening titles in 1998 is estimated at 58.64 million copies, against 43.97 million copies in 1993. IPC Magazines is one of the largest players in the market, with eight home interest and gardening sector titles. It is expected that growth in the home sector will reach 10% per year in 1999 and 2000 before slowing.
