Business ethics and a state-owned enterprise in China

Article Abstract:

The Chinese state-owned enterprises (SOEs) in the context of their commitment to business ethics are studied. The SOE, Double Star Group located in the Chinese city of Qingdao is studied, which includes results of the survey on employee's perception of its corporate culture and business ethics.

Ethical and economic evaluations of consumption in contemporary China

Article Abstract:

This article examines contemporary consumer activities in China within the context of the ethics and economics of consumption. The economic impacts of risk-taking versus frugal behavior is discussed, as well as how the government might responsibly encourage individual consumption.

The practice of business ethics in China: we need a parent

Article Abstract:

This article examines the literature and state policies that address the practice of business ethics in China. The author argues that China needs government regulations to act as a guiding 'parental' hand in order to ensure ethical business practices are being enforced.
