Article Abstract:

An analysis of adverse selection and adverse retention in the healthcare industry reveals that changes in the demographic mix have resulted from adverse retention which in turn results in adverse selection. The study also points out that adverse retention is roughly three-fifths of total adverse selection with the degree of both factors depending on provisions and management ability of different plans, the length of time the plans have been offered and the heterogeneity of the population.

Article Abstract:

A analysis of increased medical spending effects on overall medical policy performance reveals that cost-of-living indexes are still inaccurate to be used to formulate conclusions. Studies should therefore concentrate of formulating accurate cost-of-living indexes that determine functional capacity or quality of life so that it enables researchers to determine actual costs as that being used on mortality.

Productivity change in health care

Article Abstract:

The improvements in health care productivity have been rapid over the past few years. Productivity in health care is measured by the amount of patient care versus the amount of money spent on patient care. Improved medical techniques, new technology and medications, and managed health care contributed to increased productivity.
