Active labor market policies in Poland: human capital enhancement, stigmatization, or benefit churning?

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to analyze the effectiveness of active labor market policies in Poland. A theoretical framework for associating estimators as a replacement for randomization in labor market programs was developed and examined. A conditional difference-indifferences matching estimator of treatment effects was carried out using data from the Polish Labor Force Survey. Results indicated that the training of both men and women had a positive influence on the employment probability in the country.
