A note on randomized social choice and random dictatorships

Article Abstract:

The concept of regularity is presented as an alternative proof to the random dictatorship theory of McLennan and the related ideas of Pattanaik and Peleg. In the former, the concept of rationalizability is replaced by regularity which, although weaker in nature, is nonetheless as valid as the other concept. The idea of strategy proofness is likewise presented to supplement the random dictatorship theory of Pattanaik and Peleg.
