Article Abstract:

The Council for Biotechnology Information, formed in early 2000, intends to become the main provider of information on biotechnology. The group is composed of such firms as Zeneca Ag Products, Novartis, Monsanto, DuPont, Dow Chemical, BASF, Aventis Crop Science and the Biotechnology Industry Organization. The Council, armed with $50 million in funding, intends to disseminate biotechnology information that is based on expert opinion, published reports and scientific research.

Dairy magazine gives truck to lucky reader

Article Abstract:

Western DairyBusiness, a farm periodical based in Corona, CA, concluded its 'Moving Forward in 2000' campaign by awarding a 2000 Toyota Tundra pickup truck to grand prize winner Scott Bennett. The awarding ceremony took place at McMinnville Toyota in Oregon where Bennett and his wife picked a truck in the color of their choice and with various accessories and add-on features. Bennett is a salesman from Genex Cooperative Inc.
