Article Abstract:
Franpac, the metal packaging company, has invested FFr 12mn in a new line to produce steel cans in three pieces - body, lid, and easy-open bottom. The output is for the Henaff company which has decided to change the packaging for its famous meat paste. Up to now the meat paste came in a blue tinplate can (box-band) but the opening strip on the can was made from a pewter-lead alloy, which doesn't comply with European directives banning lead. Therefore Henaff has decided to package its pork paste in this new steel can made by Franpac.
