FRANCE: COCA-COLA PLANS TO INVEST

Article Abstract:

According to unconfirmed sources, although Coca-Cola has announced massive staff cuts throughout the world, it plans to invest in the French plant at Dunkirk. The Dunkirk plant produces around 1.5bn cans of Coca-Cola, Fanta, and Sprite every year. If the investment is confirmed, 100 new jobs may be created at this plant.

FRANCE: SIDEL'S ORANGINA BOTTLE PRODUCTION UNIT

Article Abstract:

Entreprise Orangina's plant at Meyzieu in the Rhone departement has invested in a Sidel SBO 16 bottle production machine. This machine is designed for 33 cl and 50 cl bottles and can change format quickly. It will operate around the clock and will have a production capacity of 35,000 bottles per hour.

France: Coca-Cola chooses Newtec

Article Abstract:

Coca-Cola has chosen Newtec to set up a special line for protection and packaging of full pallets at its Grigny plant in the Essonne departement, in order to meet supermarkets and hypermarkets' requirement in terms of presentation (film-wrapped pack of four PET bottles). The new line, which was delivered in spring 2001, covers all protection operations for palletised loads.
