Article Abstract:
There are now many different finance schemes available to people wishing to purchase a new car in the UK. It is possible to take out a bank or building society loan, which gives full ownership of the car immediately, or to reach a hire purchase agreement, under which the finance company owns the car until it is fully paid for. There are now also personal contract purchase schemes, under which part of the cost of the car is deferred, and personal leasing plans, under which the car is hired over a long period.

Article Abstract:
There are a number of cars to choose from at the lower price end of the small family car range in the UK. The most popular is the Ford Escort, but this has developed a reputation for poor reliability. The other favourites are the Rover 400, the Honda Civic and the Toyota Corolla. Of these, the Toyota Corolla offers above average reliability, and Honda cars are also gaining a strong reputation for reliability. In recent tests, the Honda 1.5i VTEC-E and Rover 414i both performed well.
