Article Abstract:
Nissan's 1995-1998 200SX models are sports coupes offered in the base, SE and sportier SE-R editions. All editions offer above-average passenger room considering that they are small coupes. Cargo room ranks near the top of its class. Visibility is fine except dead astern. Instruments are well positioned and clearly marked. There is much to like in this generation of 200SX cars, overall, especially in the SE-R. They are reasonable, moderately-priced alternatives to higher cost coupes such as the Probe and MX-6.

Article Abstract:
Mazda's 1990-1997 Miata models are lively, agile, fun to drive and simple despite only passable off-the-line acceleration. This generation feels and looks as good as the first generation, which was introduced in 1989. Gas mileage and manueverability are excellent. Despite an occasionally choppy ride, these vehicles are easy to handle and hug the road snugly. Their cockpits are cozy with well-placed gauges and controls, and provide tall people with enough working space.

Nissan's 1993-1997 Altima models may be considered very good buys, overall. Virtues include dual airbags, optional anti-lock braking systems, steering, handling, instruments/controls and fuel economy. Drawbacks include engine noise, road noise, wind noise and automatic transmission performance. Altimas in this generation benefit from their wide, standard tires and are more athletic and nimble than all but the Accord. Ride quality is firm but comfortable.
