1994-99 Cadillac DeVille/Concours

Article Abstract:

General Motors Corp's 1994-1999 Cadillac Sedan DeVille and DeVille Concours models feature impressive acceleration with brisk passing response although the Concours is outstanding in terms of performance. The 4.9-liter V-8 base engines deliver plenty of power, but the later Northstar V-8 editions are even better. While the Sedan DeVille and DeVille Concours are styled conservatively, they are desirable in terms of roomy accommodations and performance and provide good value for the money.

1997-99 Buick Regal

Article Abstract:

General Motors Corp's (GMC) 3.8-liter, V-6 engine performs excellently when installed in the Buick Regal, providing good acceleration at low speeds and plenty of passing power. Engine performance is even better with the supercharged edition. However, the Buick Regal GS suffers marked torque steer, where the steering wheel is tugged in one direction during rapid take-offs. Transmision behavior is superlative with either engine.
