1994-98 Mitsubishi Galant

Article Abstract:

Mitsubishi's 1994-1998 Galant models come only as four-door notchback sedans and are offered in four trim levels, namely, the S, ES, LS and GS. Virtues include dual airbags, anti-lock braking systems, ride, passenger space and cargo room. Drawbacks include visibility, engine noise and fuel economy. Although it may be considered a solid buy, this generation lacks any single distinguishing feature to help it shine among the crowded field of mid-sized domestic and imported sedans.

1992-99 Mitsubishi Montero

Article Abstract:

Mitsubishi's 1994-1999 Montero models may be considered one of the better- riding 4x4 vehicles and are even more stable in corners than their predecessors. Virtues include four-wheel drive traction, passenger space, cargo room, quietness, ride and acceleration with the 215-horsepower engine. Drawbacks include fuel economy, entry/exit and acceleration with the 151-horsepower engine. However, it is not as car-like as a number of other sport-utility rivals.

1993-97 Mazda 626

Article Abstract:

Mazda's 1993-1997 626 front-drive sedans offer willing, capable performance and spirited acceleration with a V-6 and five-speed manual shift. Ride quality is good, with the suspension filtering out most pavement flaws. These sedans handle better than expected, with moderate body lean in turns. Overall, these solidly-built 626 sedans are strong contenders against the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry, although the latter are quiter and more luxurious.
