Article Abstract:
Ford Motor Co's 1991-1996 Escort models provide plenty of practical value though they cannot match a Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla in terms of refinement. They are stable and well controlled at highway speeds. Fuel economy in these models is excellent, and their suspension is surprisingly absorbent at highway speeds. Visibility is good from these Escorts' cabins. Leg room is adequate, but three people in the rear make for cramped seating.
