Article Abstract:
Toyota entered the luxury-car segment with the launching of its 1990-1996 Lexus models. The ES 250 offers a comfortable ride and its suspension soaks up bumps with little notice. It also tends to display good control and stability at high speed, while standard anti-lock brakes provide strong, safe stops with good control. The ES 300 features more distinctive styling and more passenger space. Its 3.0-liter V-6 engines provide extra size and power. Both model types have helped Lexus maintain a solid image in the luxury car market.

Article Abstract:
Nissan's 1996-1999 Infiniti 130 models are well equipped and offer more standard features than a Maxima. The V-6 engines in these cars produce plenty of torque at low speeds to yield quick takeoffs and brisk passing sprints. Fuel economy is disappointing and the use of premium gasoline is recommended. These models' suspensions are firm yet absorb most bumps easily. Steering is firm and precise, offering good feedback. These cars take high-speed corners with little body lean and taut road grip.

Article Abstract:
Isuzu's 1991-1997 Rodeos share their front-end, chassis and powertrains with pickup trucks. Acceleration is adequate though less than brisk with the early V-6 engine and automatic shift. Gas mileage is a drawback. Ride is firm yet remarkably comfortable, with suspensions absorbing virtually all flaws in paved roads. These competent and tightly constructed Rodeos may well be the best Isuzu models on the market and deserve a test drive from potential buyers.
