1990-94 Chevrolet S10 Blazer

Article Abstract:

General Motors Corp's 1990-94 Chevrolet S10 Blazer model features a longer wheel base that improves ride quality. Suspensions are among the least compliant in their class. The 4.3-liter engine is noisy, although it develops considerable torque at low engine speeds to provide strong acceleration around the city. Body lean in turns is not bad, interior room is good and overall dashboard layout is pleasing. Four-door editions provide vastly improved access but back seats are hard to get at in the two-door versions.

1992-99 Chevrolet Blazer/Tahoe

Article Abstract:

General Motors Corp's 1992-1999 Blazer models and their Tahoe successors are brawny but civilized cars both on- and off-road. These models feature gasoline-powered V-8 engines that deliver robust acceleration and allow the vehicles to pull a heavy trailer with ease. They also feature improved road behavior, and body lean is still noticeable, though not as much. Steering is slightly over-assisted but precise in the Blazers, but the 1992-1999 models are quieter than their predecessors.

1995-99 Chevrolet Blazer

Article Abstract:

General Motors Corp's (GMC) 1995-1999 Chevrolet Blazer models feature above-average acceleration for sport utility vehicles and stronger passing power, compared to Explorers. However, the automatic transmission pauses momentarily before downshifting, and fuel economy is poor. GMC has offered a variety of suspension choices for these models to tailor the ride from off-road firm to suburban-street soft. The 'premium ride' suspension version is the most desirable for these cars.
