Taylor's new furnace produces efficiencies

Taylor Made Glass has installed a new furnace for use in the production of shaped windshields. The furnace allows glass to be bent horizontally without leaving any tong marks and distortions, as well as enabling the company to build larger shaped windshields. Taylor Made said the new furnace will provide new manufacturing efficiencies by offering quick product changeovers and improved product tolerances. The glass will be used in producing bent and tempered windshields to be sold by Taylor Made Systems.

Taylor Made adding new glass furnace

Gloversville, NY-based Taylor Made Systems Inc has announced the installation of a new vertical bending and tempering furnace at its Payne, OH, plant, that will add 20% to the facility's glass manufacturing capacity. The furnace is reportedly the largest of its kind made by the Finland-based Tamglass Group, and cost Taylor Made $1.7 million. It is expected to generate 25 new jobs for the Payne workforce. Taylor Made Systems makes boat windshields and windows.

Taylor Made is upgrading glass plants

Article Abstract:

Taylor Made Systems is expanding and modernizing its glass-manufacturing plants in Bradenton, FL, and Payne, OH. The upgrade in the Bradenton facility is estimated to cost $782,000 while the expansion at the Payne facility will include the installation of new equipment worth $4.7 million. Both upgrades would result in additional employment for the manufacturer of marine products including windows and windshields.
