Snyder Communications continues with its European expansion as it acquired MKM Marketing, a German pharmaceutical marketing company, for $58 million. The deal represents Snyder's first German acquisition and seventh European acquisition since 1997. CEO Daniel Snyder said the company is still contemplating more acquisitions in Germany and in other markets. The MKM acquisition is in line with Snyder's goal to become the world's leading marketer of pharmaceutical products, said Snyder. Snyder expects his company's direct marketing expertise to be an advantage as more pharmaceutical manufacturers adopt the direct marketing approach.
