Rate case reply briefs due today

Article Abstract:

The Postal Rate Commission (PRC) is expected to receive the last batch of reply briefs from concerned parties before it acts upon the postal rate recommendations issued by the US Postal Service (USPS) Board of Governors. The board wants to reject the PRC's motion to cut the USPS' rate request from a 6% average increase to a 4.6% increase. The USPS claims the PRC exceeded its authority when it reduced the budget for the USPS' contingency fund from $1.7 billion to $1 billion.
