Rate case opponents to begin their rebuttals against the USPS

Article Abstract:

Objectors to the rate increase being sought by the US Postal Service (USPS) will begin giving their testimonies to the Postal Rate Commission on May 22, 2000. The proceedings are being closely watched by mailers from every industry in the US because the USPS is asking for rate increases that are 15% or higher than present rates. The increases, which the postal service wants to effect in Jan 2001, include a 7.7% avaerage increase for direct marketers.
