The call center was built in the Midwest region because acceptable wage in this area is comparatively lower, thus allowing Pets.com to reduce operating costs.

Teleperformance of Atlanta, GA, has opened contact centers in Youngstown, OH, McAllen, TX, and Atlanta, GA. The facility in McAllen, TX, has 430 seats while the one in Youngstown, OH, has more than 280 seats and 225 Web-enabled PCs. The Atlanta, GA, center, on the other hand, has an 18- station lab designed to test new technology and pilot porgrams for deployment throughout the company's contact centers.

Additional brokers team with Shop2u.com

Article Abstract:

Fairfax, VA-based Shop2u.com has partnered with four more list brokerage firms to promote its e-mail program to catalogers. The four new partners, which have a combined 650 brokerage clients, are Catalog Corp, List Services Corp, Clark-Mackain and Walter Karl Cos. The program allows the partners to offer their clients with all of Shop2u.com's e-commerce products such as e-catalogs.
