The ads will be shown in Los Angeles, CA, Tampa, FL, and St. Petersburg, FL. The campaign will be first tested in California and Florida because the company enjoys a better competitive position in those states.

Few Internet-based companies are allowing outside advertisers to access their customers through in-house package insert programs. Leon Henry Inc Senior VP Linda Callahan believes this is because some of the online firms may be trying to protect their customer files for themselves. However, she is optimistic that World Wide Web merchants would eventually join traditional direct marketers and recognize the potential rewards they can reap by delivering ads along with their own products.
