Access Worldwide Communications and J Patton Sports Marketing (JPSM) have formed an exclusive agreement wherein JPSM would provide sports-related marketing venues for Access' clients. Access is a Boca Raton company that mails weekly sports newsletters to doctors, pharmacists and other health professionals. On the other hand, JPSM has licensing agreements with the NFL, NHL, the PGA Tour and 171 universities that allow it to use their data, logos and other information in creating marketing tools such as newsletters and speaking engagements.

Outsourced e-commerce management service provider Inforonics Inc of Littleton, MA, has announced its plan to launched a direct mail campaign to market its I-Pay solution. The new service allows manufacturers and online catalogers to make itemized data available for display ion billing statement for procurement cards used in online purchases. To measure the campaign response, the 5,000-piece mail campaign directs recipients to a unique Web address which would allow Inforonics to determine the identities and the number of visitors.

Book of-the-Month Club Inc and Doubleday Direct Inc, both from New York, have agreed to create a joint venture that would combine their printing, manufacturing and marketing resources. The mail-order book clubs, two of the biggest in the US, agreed to form the joint venture in an effort to preserve their status in light of the competition being offered by rival online booksellers. The two companaies will continue to use their respective brands for marketing purposes.
