How to satisfy the banks that schemes are PFI-able

Article Abstract:

There has been very slow progress with Private Finance Initiative (PFI) hospital projects in the UK. This is partly because banks are extremely cautious about becoming involved in PFI projects. They will need a clear understanding of how the various revenue streams will be generated over the 20-30 years during which their investment is being repaid, and will have to satisfy themselves regarding the credit of the NHS trusts which are purchasing the hospitals. UK banks have had very little experience with hospital schemes, and hospitals are competing with other schemes.

Health service

Article Abstract:

The design of hospital doors and windows are vital. Aesthetics are important as well as energy efficiency, cost effectiveness and maintenance. External doors need to be durable and conserve energy. Electronic, sensor-operated double doors are excellent. Internal doors contribute much to the interior design but in many cases need to be practical and hygenic. Windows are important for the care and treatment of patients. Mental patients will need maximum light for therapeutic reasons.
