Cahoots enters live customer service arena

Cahoots Inc has introduced a free downloadable software that serves as Web-wide instant messaging and live customer service representative. The technology allows Web surfers to get instant access to other people who are visiting the same sites and enable them to talk about site content or products. The companion technology also permits private communications or a public posting of messages between individuals and provides an option for users to make themselves unavailable for conversation.

GoTo.com boosts number of sites hosting keyword-targeted searches

Article Abstract:

GoTo.com of Pasadena, CA, has announced that it will allow more small Web sites to install its search engine on their sites. This would give small Web sites search capability through the search engine's main site at www.goto.com. The new product called Integrated Search lets the Web sites to hold to their traffic instead of diverting visitors performing search to the GoTo.com main page. Goto.com has partnered with 25/7 Media Inc of New York, to give Web sites the option of selling banner advertising through the online ad network on their search result pages.
