Blockbuster to expand online rental program nationwide
Article Abstract:
Blockbuster Entertainment will unveil an online rental service in all of its home video stores across the US in the latter part of 2001. The new program would enable Blockbuster members to rent movie videos and DVDs online and collect them at the store. Customers will have access to stores' rental inventory but will not get discounts for renting online. However, Blockbuster's program will not include home delivery, a service being offered by dot-com companies such as Netflix.com, Kozmo.com and Cinemanow.
