Article Abstract:
It is expected that no further action will be taken against Tarmac following an investigation by ministry of defence police into allegations that the company made fraudulent claims in connection with work undertaken on a 1.9 billion pounds sterling Trident scheme in Scotland. The main area of controversy has been differences in the interpretation in Scottish and English law of 'attempts to defraud.'
