Meredith chose ALC because of the latter's network of contacts as well as its strength in the industry. The Meredith files include subscriber lists for Better Homes and Gardens, Ladies' Home Journal, Traditional Home, Country Home, Golf for Women and Midwest Living. They also include a database of 25 million unduplicated records.

Direct Media has been designated as list manager of the Hearst Magazine Database for Regression Analysis, which contains the names of 10.6 million active subscribers of Hearst magazines. Direct Media is also the exclusive list manager for the Hearst magazine subscription files. Hearst is the publisher of several popular magazines including Cosmopolitan, Country Living, Esquire, Good Housekeeping, Marie Claire, Popular Mechanics, Smart Money and Town & Country.

The file contains the names of senior executives of Fortune 1000 companies with revenues of more than $100 million. More then 90% of subscribers also make purchasing decisions. The company is recommending the file to marketers of financial services, publications, business travel, seminars, trade shows, computer- related merchandise and executive apparel.
