Article Abstract:

Terrazzo specialist Palam Precast is producing blue glass paviours for a city centre square in Newcastle, England. The flag design uses a mixture of glass grades, with the flags being constructed in two layers. The carpet of flags will be placed on a sand/cement bedding course meeting standard highway loading requirements. The redesign of the square will also feature benches with buried stainless steel reinforcement and fibre-optic cables.
