AT&T Consumer Products introduced three new cordless telephones at the 1984 Summer Consumer Electronics Show (SCES). The three models were the Nomad 8000, Nomad 8500 and the Nomad 4000. The Nomad 8500 is the most expensive of the three. It features a voice scrambler, two-way paging, an intercom, programmable security codes, memory dialing, and tone-pulse switching and hold. Prices range from $139.95 to $299.95.

Models KP-3250 and KP-3260 are the latest additions to Kraco's telephone answering machine product line. Both these units are microprocessor controlled. The company has also introduced the KP-6005, a cordless telephone that features built-in rechargeable circuitry and the KP-6009, a full featured cordless system with built-in speaker phone.

At the 1984 Summer Consumer Electronics Show Cobra showed the ST-410 corded telephone, new in its line of products. In the cordless category, the 460S has been added. The 460S features selectable frequency channels.
