Continuous wave and pulse EPR and ENDOR study of oxygenated cobalt(II) heme model systems

Article Abstract:

Frozen solutions of (oxyCo)TPP(L) have been analyzed using continuous wave, pulse electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) and electron nuclear double resonance (ENDOR) techniques. The potential of EPR and ENDOR techniques at different microwave frequencies is clearly seen.

A continuous wave and pulse EPR and ENDOR investigation of oxygenated Co(II) corrin complexes

Article Abstract:

The reversible oxygenation behavior of solvents using continuous wave electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) at X-band is compared with Co(II) porphyrin complexes. The oxygenated base-on Co(II) porphyrin complexes revealed shorter axial cobalt-nitrogen bonds in the Co(II) corrin than in the porphyrin case.

Unraveling the Cu(super 2+) binding sites in the C-terminal domain of the murine prion protein: A pulse EPR and ENDOR study

Article Abstract:

The three different Cu(II) binding sites that are observed in the structured C-terminal part of the murine prion protein, mPrP(121-231) is studied using a pulse electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) and electron nuclear double resonance (ENDOR) study. Results show that the different number of nitrogen atoms directly involved in the Cu(II) ligand help in differentiating the three complexes.
