Thermodynamic consideration on solid transition of CdSe nanocrystals induced by pressure

Article Abstract:

The thermodynamic amount of the pressure-induced solid transition between the wurtzite phase and the rock-salt phase, and the melting thermodynamic amounts of the metastable rock-stable phase for CdSe nanocrystals are considered based on known thermodynamic data of the wurtzite phase is discussed. The work attempts to provide only a possible thermodynamic way to determine the pressure-induced phase transitions.

Photo-activated luminescence of CdSe quantum dot monolayers

Article Abstract:

The luminescence from CdSe quantum dot monolayers that can be enhanced by the interaction of water molecules adsorbed on the surface is presented. Findings suggest that water molecules adsorbed on the surface of the quantum dot act to passivate surface traps, that results in enhanced luminescence, similar to an effect well-known for bulk CdSe surfaces.

Mechanism and origin of exciton spin relaxation in CdSe nanorods

Article Abstract:

An ultrafast transient polarization grating method is used to measure the dynamics of exciton spin relaxation in CdSe nanorods of various sizes and shapes. The results have shown that the rate of exciton spin relaxation has a strong correlation with the diameter of the nanorod rather than other shape parameters such as length, volume, or aspect ratio.
